IGS Secures Key Role in Matrix Shared Services Programme

We’re proud to share that Investigo Government Solutions (IGS) has been named as a supplier on the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology’s (DSIT) Matrix shared services programme.

Under a newly awarded two-year contract worth up to £8 million, IGS will be delivering service design, transition and transformation support services as part of a wider government initiative to modernise and unify back-office functions across multiple departments.

This contract follows recent awards made to Veran Performance and KPMG, as the programme continues to take shape. At its core, the Matrix programme is focused on implementing a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system across a number of central government departments and agencies, aiming to drive efficiencies and long-term savings.

IGS will be responsible for delivering:

  • A detailed service design, including interim and target operating models

  • Close collaboration with a technology partner and systems integrator

  • Stakeholder engagement across the service transformation journey

  • Knowledge transfer and delivery support to underpin successful implementation

The programme is a critical step toward improving interoperability and reducing costs across government. By consolidating ERP, HR, and finance systems across eight departments and associated bodies, the initiative is expected to generate £2 billion in savings from a £900 million investment.

We’re excited to support DSIT in leading this important transformation and to bring our proven expertise in service design and public sector delivery to the heart of government innovation.
